Blues Festival

This evening is the annual Blues Fest in Coral Bay, a growing tradition on this small island that brings characters from all around, including those St. Johnian's that don't come out much. I have never attended, only stood on the outside to listen briefly. This year I'm planning to go with a friend and am excited to hear many others planning to go as well. It takes place on the ball field in Coral Bay, normally inhabited by the goats. Not sure where the goats will hang out this evening. They may still hang out there. All stages, speakers, tents, etc. must be down by sunrise for Easter morning in respect of the Moravian church. That's cutting it close. But many St. Johnians aren't really late owls anyway. The Blues Festival marks springtime and the coming of the end of high season. Great for many locals who enjoy the solitude of low season, not so great for business owners who profit from tourists.
